Super Eagles legend Jay Jay Okocha praises PSG’s dominant 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan, celebrating the club’s first-ever UCL title in Munich. Nigerian football legend Jay Jay Okocha was all smiles after witnessing his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) clinch their maiden UEFA Champions League title in Munich. Speaking to TNT Sports at the Allianz Arena, Okocha shared his thoughts on the historic 5-0 victory over Inter Milan. “It’s amazing, the way they did it. They made it look so easy. They came with a good game plan, and they worked out well for them. I think they totally deserved it,” Okocha said, reflecting on PSG’s dominant performance. PSG’s victory was powered by standout performances from Desire Doué and Ousmane Dembélé, who were virtually unstoppable throughout the match. The French giants dismantled Inter Milan, who struggled to find their rhythm under coach Simone Inzaghi and were overwhelmed by PSG’s relentless attacking play. When asked if he expected such a commanding 5-0 scoreline, the former Super Eagles captain admitted he was surprised. “No, I predicted 2-1. But who cares? I wanted to see them win and they won, which is great for the club–first time in their history–and I think it is good for football as well.” The scoring opened early, with Achraf Hakimi finishing off a precise cutback from Doué just 12 minutes into the game. After a series of chances, PSG pulled further ahead in the second half when Doué expertly finished a pass from Vitinha, leaving Inter’s goalkeeper Sommer helpless. Dembélé then showed his skill by slipping past Inter’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and calmly slotting home to make it 4-0. The scoring spree was capped off by teenager Senny Mayulu, who combined with Barcola before smashing the ball off the post and into the net. Okocha’s presence at the final alongside pundits like Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, and Owen Hargreaves highlighted the moment's significance for the club and the football world. PSG’s emphatic win marks a historic landmark for the club and signals their arrival as a dominant force in European football.
