19 Vehicles Of MP CM's Convoy Filled With Water Instead Of Diesel, Petrol Pump Sealed

As many as 19 vehicles from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s convoy had to be towed after they were filled with water instead of diesel, reported PTI.
The incident took place on Thursday night when the convoy stopped at a petrol pump for refuelling. While some vehicles stood there at the petrol pump, many had to be towed after the vehicles were refuelled with fuel mixed with water.
A few vehicles made it onto the highway before they stalled, the rest failed to leave the fuel pumps.
Speaking about the same, one driver said, “We had brought the vehicles from Indore. One of these vehicles was supposed to be part of the chief minister’s convoy the next day. Since we had travelled from Indore, the diesel levels were low, so we came to this Bharat Petroleum pump to refuel. We filled all the vehicles’ tanks completely.”
“After refuelling, we sent a few vehicles ahead. Some managed to leave the station but stalled on the highway shortly after, while others broke down right here, just after moving a few meters,” he added.
On asking the fuel station staff about the vehicles being stopped, they denied it.
“We then informed the authorities, and they arrived at the scene,” he added.

An investigation revealed that around 10 liters of water were mixed in every 20 liters of diesel, affecting all the vehicles that had refuelled there.
The petrol pump was immediately sealed, and officials from the district administration and the Food and Supplies Department reached the spot to assess the situation.
With multiple cars rendered inoperable, alternative vehicles had to be urgently brought in from Indore to ensure the convoy could move.
The incident, occurring just ahead of the high-profile Rise Conclave, has raised serious questions about administrative preparedness and fuel quality monitoring.
Meanwhile, the opposition has criticised the massive security convoy, questioning the scale of expenditure and highlighting the apparent failure in coordination and oversight.
