Two glamping campgrounds made the top 20 and now it’s up to readers to narrow it down to a national top 10. Drop into the wild on Michigan’s most remote island at Beaver Island Retreat. While the setting is familiar, the glamping sites themselves are other worldly. Two geodesic domes with panoramic windows point out to the 13 acres of private woods. USA Today calls it an “exquisite escape.” Inside are more than just creature comforts, but high-end features like walnut cabinetry in a full kitchen, full sized bedrooms with a tv and Bose Bluetooth speaker and a washer and dryer. The glamping site is open year-round and caters to all seasons with private firepits, hot tubs, saunas and cold plunges. The domes are also heated and air-conditioned.
