The Oregon women’s golf and women’s tennis teams once again posted perfect Academic Progress Rate scores in the four-year period ending in 2023-24 and were among eight UO teams with perfect single-year scores during that year, according to the NCAA’s annual APR reports released Tuesday.
It’s the seventh consecutive year the women’s golf team posted a perfect score and fifth straight for the women’s tennis team. Oregon’s men’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s tennis, women’s basketball, lacrosse and softball teams each also had perfect APR scores for 2023-24.
“We are extremely proud of the consistently high academic achievement of University of Oregon student-athletes,” Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens said in a release. “Their excellence in both the classroom and competition reflects their continued hard work and focus, and supporting their academic goals is a top priority for our department. We’re also incredibly thankful for the dedicated team at the Jaqua Center, whose guidance and support are critical in helping our student-athletes reach their full potential.”
UO had two teams with perfect multi-year APR scores and six with perfect single-year scores in 2022-23 and four and seven, respectively, in 2021-22.
Oregon football’s four-year APR score increased from 941 to 946 thanks to a single-year score of 981. The only Power Four football team with a lower score is Houston (940).

Oregon football‘s four-year APR, though calculated while UO was still in the Pac-12, is lowest in the Big Ten, with only Penn State (947) also below 950. Ohio State has a perfect APR score of 1,000 with Michigan (996), Northwestern (993), Minnesota (992) and Wisconsin (991) all above 990.
An APR score of 930 equates to a roughly 50% graduation rate and postseason eligibility requires a four-year score of 930 or 940 for the most recent two years.
The multi-year APR for Oregon men’s basketball decreased from 976 to 970, 13th in the Big Ten, because of a single-year score of 935 in 2023-24.
Oregon women’s basketball’s multi-year APR is 988, 10th in the Big Ten, which had 15 teams with scores of at least 980. Women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves earned a $25,000 bonus for the team’s multi-year score being at least 985.
