In keeping with the mandate of promoting peace, respect, love, and unity, the National Peace Programme St. Michael South Central 2025 Soccer Extravaganza will once again take place at the Valarie and Bayville Grounds.
This year’s competition has not only seen an expansion in the number of participating teams, but also the addition of a junior competition.
The draw for both divisions was recently conducted at the Bayland Pavilion, and tournament co-ordinator Ewing Dominque says this year is shaping up to be bigger and better, with an increase in prize money as well.
The tournament is a joint project of Members of Parliament for St. Michael South, Kirk Humphrey, and St. Michael South Central, Marsha Caddle.
Minister Humphrey says the initiative uses a community-oriented approach in the hope of addressing some of the pressing social issues.
M.P. Caddle adds that the programme aims to harness and promote positivity.
The National Peace Programme St. Michael South Central 2025 Soccer Extravaganza will kick off on July 13.
