The 2025 NFL Draft is just days away, football fans. This is one of the most exciting times of the year, and we're about to have answers to some of our biggest questions. This year, it appears that Miami quarterback Cam Ward will be the first player off the board to the Tennessee Titans. After Ward, it's likely that some players like Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, and Will Campbell will be the next to come off the board. However, what most people don't spend time thinking about is the players who could be steals in the later rounds.Today, we're going to identify a few players who fit that criteria. To be considered a potential late-round steal, we'll include players who are frequently mocked in the fifth round or later.Dont'e Thornton, WR, TennesseeDont'e Thornton is an intriguing wide receiver prospect who should be available on Saturday. The receiver has a solid frame, standing at 6'5" and weighing in at 205 pounds.Even with that big frame, Thornton was able to run a 4.30 40-yard dash, which was the second-fastest time of all receivers at the combine. Before the combine, it seemed like Thornton would be a potential deep-threat who can catch 50-50 balls. Now, it seems like Thornton could be much more than that.In 2024 at Tennessee, Thornton caught 26 passes for 661 yards and six touchdowns. The receiver had the most yards per reception of any FBS pass-catcher.Thornton is still predicted to go in the fifth round or later, and some team could potentially get a starting receiver late in the draft.Jaydon Blue, RB, TexasRunning back might just be the easiest position to find starting-caliber talent late in the draft. This is especially the case in 2025 as this class seems to be especially deep.Jaydon Blue is one of those running backs who could end up way outplaying his draft slot. Blue rushed for 730 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024 and also caught 42 passes for 368 yards and six scores.Blue impressed at the combine as well, earning the second-highest 40-yard dash time among all running backs. One team will get a speedy, pass-catching, dynamic talent in Blue late in this draft.Jack Nelson, OT, WisconsinSo many teams around the NFL need starting-caliber offensive tackles, and there won't be enough to go around for everybody.Teams in need of a tackle in the later rounds should be excited to see Jack Nelson still available. The Wisconsin product was a four-year starter for the Badgers and earned a solid 79.9 Pro Football Focus grade in 2024.The tackle also has prototypical tackle size, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing in at 314 pounds. Nelson also has the highly-coveted 33-inch-plus arms that NFL teams want in a tackle.Nelson may have trouble adjusting to NFL edge-rushers, but the tackle could eventually be a plus starter in the right scheme.Tommi Hill, CB, NebraskaTommi Hill is an interesting prospect who's stock will likely take a dip due to an injury-shortened 2024 campaign. However, when Hill was healthy, he demonstrated NFL-caliber traits that should interest teams. Hill racked up 21 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one interception in seven games in 2024.The corner ended his college career with five interceptions in 41 career games. Hill also used to play wide receiver, so he has quality hands that will fit in well in someone's secondary.
