A total of 42 teams are expected to take part in the maiden edition of Bet9ja Ibeju-Lekki Football Tournament which kicks off on 23, August, 2025 in two centres at Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.
This was confirmed by the organisers at the draw ceremony and presentation of the trophy in Lagos. Speaking at the event, the Executive Director Bet9ja, Albeto Cuomo, who acknowledged the pool of talents abound in the country, said they sponsored the tournament so as to provide a platform for young ones to showcase their abilities, grow in confidence and gain experience needed to reach the next level.
In her speech, Senior Marketing Manager Bet9ja, Mrs Jennifer Olatunji reiterated the company’s commitment to grassroots sports in the country.

Olatunji said the winners of the tournament will receive the sum of N500, 000 with a giant trophy, while the first and second runners up will pocket the sum of N300, 000 and N200, 000 respectively.
Also, the best goalkeeper will be rewarded with the sum of N30, 000 while the best coach and best supporters’ club will get the sum of N50, 000 each.
The sum of N20, 000 will be given to Most Valuable Player of the tournament while the two coaches in the final would be sent to National Institute for Sports (NIS) for coaching course courtesy of Bet9ja Betting Company.
