As the fans disliked how the Rock inserted himself into the World Title match, the People's Champ took an unexpected step. At WrestleMania XL's Kickoff event, the Rock turned heel by slapping Cody. It was the start of his new iconic character, The Final Boss, which he is currently playing as a member of the TKO Board. His rematch at the Clash at the Castle and the leadup towards it was spicy enough, as Styles turned heel. The star wrestler pulled off a Mark Henry, as he faked his retirement and attacked Cody on WWE Smackdown before his Clash at the Castle match. Their match in the PLE was good, as the Last Man Standing Match lived up to expectations. Styles remained out of action for a few months after the end of the feud. But Rhodes took a massive decision which broke Kevin's heart. Given the past KO and Cody himself had with Roman Reigns, the American Nightmare chose to have him as his partner at Bad Blood to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Owens snapped after the PLE and had a feud till Royal Rumble. It has since brought out the best version of Kevin, producing great matches. Rhodes refused to sell his soul to the People's Champ. But the Great One had a Plan B. Cena attacked Cody and officially turned heel for the first time in over two decades. It is regarded to be the biggest heel turn in the history of WWE. At WrestleMania 41, Cena and Cody will fight each other for the world title.
