@Source: pulsesports.ng
Manchester United's pursuit for a cut-price deal for a Super Eagles star faces a new challenge As Manchester United continue their hunt for a reliable and affordable striker, a new name has entered the conversation: Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare. However, the Red Devils will not be alone in this pursuit, as 7-time UEFA Champions League winners AC Milan are also lining up a move for the towering Genk forward as part of their summer rebuild. Milan's revamp sees Arokodare emerge as Allegri target AC Milan's summer has already begun with a flurry of exits. Tijjani Reijnders has left, and Key figures like Theo Hernandez are set to leave. While Milan work to offload misfiring forward Divock Origi, who failed to make a single first-team appearance this season, Igli Tare and new boss Max Allegri are already preparing replacements. One of the standout names is Tolu Arokodare, the physically imposing Nigerian striker who netted 23 goals and registered 7 assists in 45 appearances for Genk this past season. The Rossoneri believe Arokodare’s profile fits the aggressive and modern striker they need to lead the line, especially with his €18 million valuation representing great value in a hyperinflated market. Manchester United consider Nigerian star as budget alternative Manchester United, meanwhile, have cooled their interest in high-profile names like Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres due to Financial Fair Play restrictions and the need to strengthen multiple areas of the squad. New manager Ruben Amorim also reportedly sees Arokodare as a smart and economical alternative, one who could seamlessly rotate with or even displace Rasmus Højlund. At just 24, Arokodare has experience across France, Germany, and Belgium, and with Manchester United also targeting Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, a €20 million swoop for the Nigerian could balance ambition with pragmatism.
