1) He was a British man, not an American.
2) He went to Turkey shopping for discounts.

Just for the record: Istanbul in general is very nice. The resort areas as well.
Every country has nice areas and terrible ones. Israel has Tel Aviv and Dimona. The UK has London and Sheffield. The US has Boston and New York City.

Surprised so many footballers go for treatment. They're generally not short of a couple of quid.

Happens often there with the plastic surgery economy they have going. I doubt half the people have proper training at this point it's such high volume. Go to Miami and get a back alley Brazilian butt lift like a good American.
/Hair transplant death has to be rare as hell.
//Doesn't even sound like he got into surgery so what the hell happened?

Turkey does like a third of all hair transplants globally. Any procedure with a low chance of something going wrong will still have something go wrong occasionally, it's just a numbers game. Also Instanbul is a beatific place to visit, and the city is crawling with guys who've obviously just had the procedure done.

JFK men. Many of us lose or get thin hair when we get older. Own it. Live with it. Its not going to get thicker or come back.

If it was before the procedure it sounds like a reaction to the local anesthesia or just a heart attack.
