Aaron Rodgers Has Been Secretly Supporting Golfers on Venmo: ‘He’s Been Super Nice’

Aaron Rodgers has been quietly donating money to help aspiring professional golfers continue their careers, according to a social media influencer who helps raise funds for athletes.
Ryan French, who runs the page “Monday Q Info” on X.com, has spent years using his social media platform to raise money for young and struggling golfers and then sending it to them directly. French said during an interview on the GOLF Subpar podcast on Wednesday, March 19 that one of his biggest donors in recent years has been none other than the 41-year-old, four-time NFL MVP winner.
“Aaron has been super good behind the scenes to me,” French said on the podcast. French said he met Rodgers after he saw an account under the Super Bowl winner’s name pop up on a livestream he was hosting of a golf tournament. French assumed it was a fake account, but “then, maybe a couple of weeks later, he messaged me. I was like, what the hell is happening?”
The two formed a relationship, and French says that when he raises money for golfers, Rodgers now reaches out to ask about them and donates money.
“He’s been super nice,” French said. “He wants to keep this on the down low, so now I’m going to tell it on the pod. I’ve tried my best to help players, or if they get their car stolen or need money, whatever, and he’ll just message me and be like, ‘Hey, is this a good dude or a good player?’ And I’d be like, yeah. And he would either Venmo me money and I then would Venmo the player or he would do it anonymously on GoFundMe.”
Rodgers is a longtime fan of golf and often plays himself, even winning the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am — an annual tournament with celebrities and other athletes competing.

The longtime Green Bay Packers quarterback also played in the 2021 edition of “The Match,” an exhibition golf series that pits a team of two high-profile athletes against another pair. That year, he and professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau defeated Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson. Rodgers and Brady later teamed up for another edition of “The Match,” defeating Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.
The veteran quarterback, fresh off the release of his Netflix docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, is still looking for a home for the 2025 NFL season.
Rodgers was cut by the New York Jets earlier this year following two seasons marred by an achilles injury and 6-12 overall record as the team’s starting quarterback.
