Aaron Taylor-Johnson is honoring wife Sam Taylor-Johnson on her special day. As the British filmmaker turned 58 on Tuesday, March 4, her actor husband shared a carousel of sun-drenched images to his Instagram grid, led with one of his wife doing a poolside split. Other snapshots included the two posing together, sightseeing and sharing a kiss, as well as a final photo of Sam lounging, backed by light that appeared to be streaming through trees. Sam and Aaron first met when he was auditioning to play a young John Lennon in her directorial debut about the musician's early life, Nowhere Boy, back in 2008, and got engaged in 2009. Over the years, the filmmaker and Kraven the Hunter actor have had to navigate the chatter around their age difference. “I guess that interest was more when we got together, which was now 14 years — at the beginning, was quite intense,” Sam previously said on BBC Radio 4’s This Cultural Life. “And that sort of fascination, because he’s younger than me, which you know, we couldn’t really fathom the fascination ... it’s sort of gone away a little bit," the Back to Black director added.
