TOKYO -- Japan is drawing the attention of foreign cryptocurrency asset companies -- including a provider of digital tokens for sports teams like famed Italian soccer club AC Milan -- that see room for growth in a market that remains relatively underdeveloped.
Hong Kong-based OSL Group acquired Japanese crypto asset exchange CoinBest last November, aiming to market to institutional investors and wealthy individuals. It has since changed the unit's name to OSL Japan.
