“Peaky Binders” favorite Stephen Graham stars in the Netflix series “Adolescence” as a man whose world is shattered when his 13-year-old son (newcomer Owen Cooper) is accused of murdering a female classmate. Graham wrote ad co-created the series with Jack Thorne, whose previous work includes the 2022 sports drama “The Swimmers” and the 2024 biopic “Joy.” Like the BAFTA-nominated feature “Boiling Point,” which also starred Graham, the series is filmed in a continuous one-shot style by Philip Barantini. Doherty’s other roles include Mary Carr on the Disney+ series “A Thousand Blows” and Becky in the BBC/Prime Video thriller series “Chloe.” Faye Marsay as DS Misha Frank Marsay, who played Anne Neville in Starz historical drama “The White Queen” and Candice in the British comic series “Fresh Meat,” costars as a Detective Sergeant on the case.
