Oliver Kazunga Senior Business Reporter THE Entrepreneurs Network Association of Zimbabwe (ENAZ) will next month host a symposium in Harare, bringing together key stakeholders in agriculture, finance, and policy to drive Zimbabwe’s economic resurgence. The high-level event will underscore the agricultural sector’s indispensable role in steering Zimbabwe towards Vision 2030 goals, focusing on food security, investment opportunities, and sustainable value addition. In a statement, ENAZ director Ms Tsitsi Mutemaringa said the upcoming symposium will position Zimbabwe as a prime destination for agricultural investment while reinforcing the Government’s commitment to facilitating private sector engagement in agribusiness . “With over 300 expected attendees, including investors, agribusiness leaders, policymakers, and international trade representatives, the symposium which will serve as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and strategic networking, will be held in Harare on April 11,” she said. “We aim to showcase agriculture as a viable, high-yield investment opportunity while fostering dialogue on modern agricultural trends, financing solutions, and technology-driven farming innovations.” With the country’s rich agricultural potential and increasing global demand for high-quality produce, Ms Mutemaringa said agriculture remains one of the most critical pillars for economic stability, job creation, and industrial growth. The sector contributes over 17 percent to Zimbabwe’s Gross Domestic Product and employs nearly 70 percent of the population, particularly in rural areas. Beyond primary production, agriculture feeds into agro-processing industries — export markets — and financial services, making it a fundamental driver of economic diversification. Key topics to be discussed include agriculture as a business, technology and innovation in farming, AI-driven solutions to maximise productivity; and addressing climate change and promoting eco-friendly farming techniques.
