He had not imagined that her work as a woman would be so amazing. “In the construction of the Ahilya memorial, I would like Ahilyabai’s life to get a place in it. The memorial would have to be shaped in such a way that it would not only have an identity in the country but in the world,” he said in the meeting of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Memorial Trust here. “I will have to think deeply about what should be included in the construction of a memorial of such a personality. My imagination and desire is that this memorial should be known not only in the city and the state but in the entire world,” he said. Earlier, the Trust’s president Sumitra Mahajan presented the Trust’s view about the memorial. She said, “I am happy that Rajiv Sethi has voiced a sentiment that is more than our imagination and he has accepted our humble gesture of beautifying this memorial with his skills. If we are building a memorial in 2025, it should be a confluence of technology, modernity, history and heritage”. ‘Kya Kaaran Tha?
