Ajay Devgn Meets CM Revanth Reddy, Proposes World-Class Film Studio In Telangana

Actor Ajay Devgn recently met Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his New Delhi residence to discuss a major investment in the state’s media and entertainment sector. Devgn expressed a strong interest in establishing a world-class film studio in Telangana, equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to international standards.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, Devgn outlined his vision for a high-tech studio complex that would include Animation, VFX, and AI-powered smart studio facilities. The actor also proposed setting up a skill development institute to train young professionals across various disciplines in the film industry.
“Ajay Devgn requested the Chief Minister to facilitate the necessary support for setting up the studio in Telangana,” the CMO statement said, adding that he sees great potential in the state becoming a hub for cinema infrastructure in India.
During their conversation, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shared the government’s ongoing efforts to promote growth across multiple sectors, including media and entertainment. In response, Devgn acknowledged the state’s progressive initiatives and pledged his support, saying he would act as a brand ambassador to promote the spirit of ‘Rising Telangana’ through cinema.
Also present at the meeting were Ajit Reddy, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Dr. Gaurav Uppal, Secretary for Coordination of Central Schemes.
In a separate development on the same day, former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev met the Chief Minister to discuss the possibility of establishing a Sports University in Hyderabad aimed at nurturing athletic talent.
Meanwhile, the Telangana CM also held talks with Union Minister for Labour, Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, urging him to grant the state hosting rights for the Khelo India Games 2026. Reddy also pushed for central funding of Rs 100 crore for new sports infrastructure projects, including synthetic tracks, indoor stadiums, swimming pools, and hockey fields in districts such as Bhuvanagiri, Rayagiri, and Karimnagar.
Revanth Reddy further appealed for Telangana to host two events if India is selected to stage the 2036 Olympic Games. He also called for a revival of train fare concessions for national-level athletes, a practice that had been discontinued.
