Manchester United have had a goal ruled out for offside in the early stages of their Europa League clash at Athletic Bilbao. The Reds thought they had taken the lead just a moment into the semi-final first leg clash when Alejandro Garnacho got in behind the Bilbao defence to put the ball in the back of the net. Unfortunately for him, he jumped the gun too quickly and his effort was ruled offside. The decision was confirmed by VAR to deny Ruben Amorim's team the perfect start in Spain. "Well I thought the pass was slightly delayed," TNT Sport commentator Robbie Savage said. "I think he went too early, just see. "Yeah. offside, I tell you what, he's done well there, it was a good finish on his right foot across the goalkeeper, but I think the assistant has got that right. It'll be checked, obviously."
