Antalya, April 11 (QNA) - The Ministerial Committee assigned by the Extraordinary Joint Arab and Islamic Summit on Developments in the Gaza Strip affirmed Friday its categorical rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land "under any pretext." This came at a joint press conference by a number of foreign ministers of the committee's member states following an expanded meeting with the participation of Arab, Islamic, and European countries, along with Russia and China, to review ways to implement the two-state solution and achieve lasting peace in the Middle East. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum, was held. During the press conference, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah stressed the importance of an immediate return to the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the need for it to be sustainable and a path to alleviating the suffering of the people of Gaza and marking the beginning of a final solution to the Palestinian issue through the establishment of a Palestinian state. He stated that the entry of aid into Gaza cannot be linked to a ceasefire, as this violates the foundations of international law. He also stated that preventing aid from reaching the Gaza Strip and using it as a tool of war is also a flagrant violation of all norms and the foundations of international law and is unacceptable to all. He called for all pressure to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches civilians in the Gaza Strip without interruption and in sufficient quantities. He also expressed Saudi Arabia's categorical rejection of all forms of displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, even if it is voluntary. He stated that the departure of Gaza residents, who are threatened with death by starvation or bombardment, is not considered voluntary, but rather a form of coercion. For his part, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty called on the Israeli entity to return to its obligations under the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. He affirmed Egypt's categorical rejection of attempts to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that the exodus of the Palestinian people from their land will lead to the liquidation of the Palestinian cause. "Any displacement under any pretext is completely unacceptable," he asserted. Abdelatty touched on the efforts aimed at returning to the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, which entered into force on January 19, stressing the need to move to the second phase of the agreement. He stated that the Middle East region is in a pivotal phase in light of the continued humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip, which requires a unified international response to achieve peace, dignity, and justice for the Palestinian people, and to work to create the necessary political horizon for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital. In turn, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed that the United Nations, unfortunately, cannot meet the international community's aspirations for peace and justice, noting that the UN Security Council has become a system that sides with force, the most obvious example of which is the Gaza Strip. He pointed out that the UN Security Council has remained silent and powerless in the face of the massacre perpetrated by the Israeli entity against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. He added that the crisis of legitimacy must first be overcome, in laying the foundation for a new global order in the 21st century. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stressed the need to intensify efforts to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza and achieve an immediate and permanent ceasefire. Safadi warned of the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of Israel's continued prevention of humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, in flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. He emphasized his country's firm rejection of the displacement of Palestinians, or depriving them from the necessities of life in Gaza and forcing them to leave their land. He emphasized that attempts to force Palestinians out of their homeland by making Gaza uninhabitable would not constitute voluntary migration, but rather forced displacement, which is rejected, condemned, and a violation of international law. For his part, Indonesian Foreign Minister, Sugiono said that his country strongly rejects any attempt to displace Palestinians from their country, under any pretext. During the press conference, he affirmed readiness to provide any assistance to the Palestinian people, noting the need to ensure the approval of regional countries of any proposal submitted by the committee regarding the Palestinians, emphasizing that the only solution to the conflict is the two-state solution.
