Architect Nathaniel “Nikki” Romero, chairman and chief architect of Primehomes Real Estate Development, Inc., has been conferred the title of diplomate in real estate management by the Philippine chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI).The recognition was awarded during the 2025 Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards, held annually by FIABCI-Philippines. Romero was cited for his pioneering work in developing sustainable, energy-efficient communities that redefine urban living through the integration of expansive greenscapes and nature-inspired design. The awarding body lauded Romero’s leadership in positioning Primehomes as a developer known for creating “urban oases” — communities that offer the convenience of city life while maintaining the serenity of a countryside environment. The diplomate conferment was led by FIABCI International's incoming world president Lily Chang, along with past world president and FIABCI-Philippines chairman emeritus Florentino S. Dulalia Jr., and Dr. Eduardo G. Ong, chairman of the FIABCI International Education and Academic Membership Committee. The tradition of bestowing the diplomate distinction to outstanding individuals in the property sector was first conceptualized in 1996 and formally adopted by FIABCI-Philippines in 2015. FIABCI-Philippines remains the sole organization authorized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines to confer this title. This year’s Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards marks the tradition’s 10th installment.
