Passengers arriving at the Hosea Kutako International Airport were welcomed by a shower of cold water on Wednesday after an airport rescue and fire fighting officer accidentally sprayed them.
Namibia Airports Company communication manager Dan Kamati had confirmed the incident.
He says an officer accidentally sprayed arriving passengers with water during the daily airport rescue and firefighting readiness session.
“We can confirm that no injuries were reported or sustained by the affected passengers, other than being wet,” he says.
He adds that the officer rendered an apology to the affected passengers, and all other safety protocols were observed.
