Austin Hill Lands Cup Series Seat Ahead of Darlington with Partner Worth $56 Billion

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Austin Hill has partnered with sponsor United Rentals to compete in the Cup Series for five races of the 2025 season. Hill has made ten Cup Series starts since 2022.Richard Childress Racing announced the new partnership, where Hill will drive the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet. Andy Street has been named Hill's crew chief for the Cup Series races.Hill acknowledged the long-time support of United Rentals and admitted that while his priority is to win the Xfinity Series championship, additional learnings from his Cup Series run will be helpful. He said in a statement:"I'm excited to compete in the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet again this year. United Rentals has been a longtime supporter of my career and to continue that relationship once again at the top level of our sport is special. I've enjoyed my starts in the Cup Series so far and the goal is to keep learning every time I climb into the car. We have been strategic with adding new tracks to the lineup each season, which allows me to gain valuable experience. Racing for Richard at any level is an honor, but especially in the Cup Series. The focus remains on winning the Xfinity Series championship in November, but any laps in the Cup car are important for the future."The following Cup Series races will see Hill race in the No. 33 car:1. April 6, Darlington Raceway2. July 6, Chicago Street Course3. August 23, Daytona International Speedway4. September 13, Bristol Motor Speedway5. October 19, Talladega SuperspeedwayUnited Rentals has been partnering with Richard Childress Racing for four years and currently has an enterprise value of approximately $56 billion according to Yahoo Finance at the time of writing.
