Manchester United players have sent their support to Ayden Heaven after the defender's injury blow. Heaven made his first Premier League start in Sunday's match against Leicester City but was forced to come off after being involved in a tangle of legs with striker Patson Daka. Heaven rolled around in pain and needed medical attention from the United and Leicester physio teams. He was eventually taken off the pitch by a stretcher . As United are yet to determine the extent of his injury, the 18-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to release a short statement. "Thank you guys for all the support! I have read all your messages and I'm doing really well and recovering fast," the defender posted on an Instagram story. United boss Ruben Amorim praised him after the game. "It’s hard to know because we have to evaluate during the week," he told Sky Sports. "He already played well against Arsenal and Real Sociedad. "Today for me was the most difficult game for him because we expect him to relax a bit, but he was so focused. It was clear today my players are at the limit. "We are going to use this window to rest and recover, it will be good. The feeling is completely different. When we return it will be like starting from scratch." United then went on to post a video of Heaven and wrote: "More of the same when you're back, Ayden." This prompted Leny Yoro and captain Bruno Fernandes to show their support by 'liking' the post. Diogo Dalot meanwhile, 'liked' a different post shared by United in support of the youngster. United are set to issue an update on Heaven's injury this week. He was seen leaving the King Power Stadium wearing a protective boot. In addition to the centre-back, Harry Maguire, Yoro, Lisandro Martinez and Jonny Evans were also absent from the squad to face Leicester. Heaven's injury comes at a time when the United defence is already depleted.
