Former Real Madrid midfielder, Bernd Schuster has put Barcelona star, Pedri among three players he wants to win the Ballon d'Or this year. Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, the 65-year-old believes the Spain international is one of the best players in the recently concluded season, along with Paris Saint-Germain's Ousmane Dembele and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe. According to Schuster, Pedri should win the 2025 Ballon d'Or because he had a spectacular season, adding that if he doesn't claim the prestigious top-individual award, then Dembele or Mbappe should win it. He said: "The whole world will be watching , all the top teams are there, and for certain players already in the conversation this is a key moment to seal the deal. "I would d put Dembele Mbappe, and Pedri in the mix. Pedri’s chances depend on what happens in the tournament . " he is had a spectacular season and I'd love to see him win it . But if not, then either Mbappe or Dembele could take it.” All the three players - Pedri, Dembele and Mbappe - had a wonderful 2024/25 season with their respective clubs.
