A triumphant reception for the Barbados Masters and Seniors Athletic Club, also known as BAMSAC, after their successful outing at the USA National Senior Games in Iowa.
The squad, which finished with seven gold, six silver, and six bronze for a total of 19 medals, was greeted warmly last night at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
Also known as the Senior Olympics, the USA National Senior Games is a multi-sport competition for adults aged 50 and over, held every two years, and is the largest multi-sport event in the world for seniors.
Head coach Dennis Thornhill says the team performed well.
Sandra Murray is the assistant coach and says the build-up to the games was very important.
With three silver and one gold medal to her credit, Beverley Beckles says the competition was fierce.
