Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman Joins DC as Fraser-McGurk’s Replacement

Rahman, a seasoned campaigner in the Indian Premier League, made his debut in 2016 and has played for multiple franchises, including Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings. He previously represented Delhi Capitals in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, picking up eight wickets in eight matches in 2022 with an economy of 7.62. In 2023, he played two matches for the franchise.
Throughout his IPL career, the 29-year-old left-arm pacer has played 38 matches, claiming 38 wickets at an economy rate of 7.84. His ability to bowl effectively in all phases of an innings has made him a valuable asset in T20 cricket.
Internationally, Rahman has been a key player for Bangladesh, securing 132 wickets in 106 T20Is. Across all T20 competitions globally, he has taken an impressive 351 wickets in 281 matches.
Delhi Capitals welcomed Rahman back to the franchise, expecting his experience and skill to bolster their bowling attack as they push for a strong finish in IPL 2025. The left-arm medium pacer will join DC for Rs 6 Crore.
