The Barbados ladies team of Emily Odwin, Jade Blakeley, Mariella Young and Neffetari Alleyne finished second to winners Puerto Rico as the team competition of the 2025 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships wrapped up last evening at the Barbados Golf Club in Durants.
After the three rounds, the Bajans ended with a gross score of 464, while the winners ended on 441. Jamaica were third with a gross score of 473.
Odwin led the charge for the Bajan ladies finishing yesterday’s final round with a 71 gross.
The Barbados men’s team did not finish the competition as an injunction filed against them barred them from completing the final day.
The issue surrounded player Maurice Forde, who contested his non-selection after what he contends was a successful qualification process.
