In 2017, political analyst Robert E Kelly had been speaking to the broadcaster via Zoom in a segment about North Korea, when his then-four-year-old daughter Marion appeared in the doorway with her baby brother James hot on her heels in his walker. Their unflappable father managed to ignore the chaos behind him as his wife Jung-a rushed into the room to remove their excitable children - but not before the pair had been spotted by excitable viewers. The video amassed viral fame at the time, with millions on social media in hysterics over the TV gaffe. Now, eight-years on from the debacle, Mr Kelly - who is a political science professor at Pusan National University in South Korea - has shared a series of pictures with his two children. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the academic captioned the post: 'Today is the eighth anniversary of the 'BBC Dad' blooper, so here are some recent family pictures. The kids are growing fast.' Mr Kelly, who became known as 'BBC dad', then shared a selection of sweet snaps, the first which included two selfies of him and his son, James, now nearly nine, out hiking together. He and James are all smiles in the adorable picture as they cuddle up for the picture, with the youngster throwing a peace sign up to the camera. The private professor - who said Marion's infamously confidence entrance was 'typical' of his daughter - also admitted his fears over 'overexposing' his children. Kelly told his followers that he doesn't like to talk about the video too often out of fear of 'overexposing' the children, but wanted to mark the one year anniversary of the interview. He revealed that achieving worldwide fame because of his children had made them all closer as a family.
