Strictly Come Dancing's professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec admitted that "it's too much" when talking about using Whatsapp groups. He appeared on Lorraine with his wife Janette Manrara on Friday (21st February). During Friday's airing of ITV morning show Lorraine, Strictly professionals Aljaz and Janette joined host Christine Lampard. The duo appeared on the programme to speak about their A Night To Remember tour. Aljaz came close to winning the coveted Glitterball trophy last year as the 35-year-old partnered with Love Island star Tasha Ghouri. Although they made it to the final, the pair missed out on the top spot as comedian Chris McCausland and professional partner Dianne Buswell secured the win. However, Alijaz and Tasha did take home the trophy as they won the Strictly Come Dancing tour that took place earlier this year. Christine joked that all of the group chats the Strictly cast are in feels like a "full time job", and said: "You’ve always said your Strictly friends are almost like a substitute family in many respects. I understand that you spend so much time with each other, and there are various WhatsApp groups all over the place." Aljaz laughed and quipped: "Look, Strictly is a quick turnaround job as it is, even more so when you’re involved in about eight or nine different WhatsApp groups. I cannot follow. One of my favourite things about that chat is actually a mute thing. I shouldn’t be saying that on TV!" As Janette laughed alongside Aljaz as he admitted he struggles to keep up with everything, he added: "It’s just too much for me." Aljaz returned to Strictly in 2024 after five years away, and last October, Strictly: It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara - who has 18-month-old daughter Lyra with him - admitted she was "so happy" to see her husband return to the programme, because it is "where he belongs". Speaking on the ‘Monday Mile’ podcast, she told host Aimee Fuller: "I’m so happy he's back, I think the whole country is. He’s back where he belongs. He shines on that dance floor. He loves to teach. "It was amazing to watch him, and I was there at the live show. After he finished his dance with Tasha, I got teary-eyed, I got emotional, it was just so beautiful to see him back doing what he loves." As the pair ended their interview on Lorraine, they shared how "grateful" there were for the support from their loved ones as they tour. Janette shared: "It is such a puzzle! But luckily, we have Aljaz’s mum, my mum, and Aljaz’s sister. They, between them, take turns flying over. They’re really on standby for us at all times. "It really does take a village and we’re so grateful that we’ve got family, even if they are abroad, that take the time to come and support and help us so we can carry on doing what we’re doing." Lorraine airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
