@Source: news18.com
Ben Stokes is the captain of England’s Test team, and in the ongoing fourth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against India, he is on fire with both bat and ball. He bowled a total of 24 overs for the English team in the first innings and picked up five wickets for 72 runs and then also scored a century in the first innings for Poms.
The century and five-wicket haul in the ongoing Test helps him enter his name in the history books. He is the first England captain in 148 years to score a century and take five wickets in the same Test.
England played their first-ever Test match in March 1877 against Australia in Melbourne, and in the last 148 years, a total of 82 players have captained Poms in 1088 Tests, but Stokes is the first skipper to score 100 and take a fifer in the same Test.
