Bengaluru Traffic Alert: Heavy Congestion Near Marathahalli and Roopena Agrahara - Check Alternate Routes
@Source: timesnownews.com
Bengaluru: Commuters travelling during peak hours on Friday morning faced severe traffic congestion, especially along the stretch from Roopena Agrahara towards the city centre, as reported by HAL Airport Traffic Police and supported by on-ground traffic data. To manage the rising traffic volume, particularly at the Marathahalli Bridge, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have implemented temporary restrictions on vehicle movement towards Kundalahalli. As part of this intervention, the traffic signal at Marathahalli Bridge has been shut down, and vehicles are being diverted through alternative U-turns. Bengaluru Traffic: Alternative Routes in PlaceBengaluru city traffic police have announced alternative routes to help ease movement around key tech corridors. Vehicles approaching from Kariyamma Agrahara Road are advised to take a right turn above Kadubeesanahalli Underpass to access the DB Flyover and nearby tech parks. Similarly, motorists using Bellandur Lake Road via Sakra Hospital Road should move to the service road and take a right at Kadubeesanahalli junction, joining DB Flyover to reach their destinations. For those coming from Bellandur Market Road, a U-turn below the Devarabeesanahalli Flyover will allow access to Global Tech Park and Echo Space. Additionally, traffic approaching from Outer Ring Road (Ibbalur) is instructed to use the service road post-Bellandur Flyover and take a U-turn beneath Devarabeesanahalli Flyover to reach Eco World and Intel Tech Park. These measures aim to ease congestion and streamline vehicle flow around Bengaluru's busy IT zones. With Bengaluru’s road network already stretched thin due to monsoon potholes and metro construction in several areas, the traffic department has also encouraged the use of public transport where feasible.
