Bengaluru Vs Chennai Vs Hyderabad: Internet Debates Which City Offers The Best Dosa
@Source: news18.com
The age-old fight question of which state makes the best dosas is back. Whether it’s the spicy dosas from Andhra Pradesh, the soft, melt-in-your-mouth varieties from Bengaluru, or the crispy ones from Chennai, it’s just another day and another dosa war.
It all started with one user saying Andhra Pradesh offered the best dosas, and those from other states were “overrated.”
“India needs to eat dosas from Andhra Pradesh. Dosas made anywhere else are overrated,” the user argued.
He also underlined that Andhra chutneys were the best, better than those from Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu. “TN makes the worst dosas and the worst chutneys. Bangalore makes good dosas but chutneys aren’t upto the mark. But you get that best dosa and the best chutneys in Andhra Pradesh,” the post added.

But that wasn’t a one-sided discussion. Chennai received appreciation for its idlis, with one X user referring to them as “the best.”
“Mysore Masala dosas are the best. Idlis from TN are the best. Andhra and Telangana have the best chutneys,” an enthusiastic individual commented.
Some expressed displeasure with the heavy and spicy nature of Andhra cuisine. A user said, “Andhra food is unhealthy and spicy. Not recommended.”
Another user acknowledged being a Kannadiga, saying, “Best chutney I have ever had is from Telangana, loaded with groundnuts,” but expressed dissatisfaction in Tamil Nadu’s dosa offerings and called it a “big disappointment.”
Users who admitted that the tastiest sambar, chutneys, and dosas were often made at home with an unexpected yet endearing viewpoint. “Best dosas and chutney, and sambar are made at home. 100% customizable, 100% knowledge of hygiene and food ingredients used, served with lots of love. No restaurant can match it,” a user on X recommended.
