Billy Horschel apologized for an errant shot in quite an unusual way on Thursday.
During the first round of the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Horschel pelted a fan in the leg with a drive at the par-4 10th hole.
Instead of the typical souvenir or autograph, the injured spectator had a better idea.
The woman had Horschel sign her swollen leg as he retrieved his ill-hit ball with dozens of fans surrounding them.
Photographers on site caught the injured spectator, and it turned out to be quite the hit.
Horschel would later give the woman a hug before hitting his second shot toward the green during the first hole on the back nine at Harbour Town.
Horschel would go on to shoot a 72, putting him in a tie for 52nd after one round.
