Actress Bobby Darling has opened up about feeling hurt and ignored by her former friend John Abraham. In a recent interview, she revealed that although they were once close, John no longer responds to her messages, even when she reached out during a tough time. Bobby shared that her big break came with the 2001 film Style, directed by N Chandra. It was during that time she became friends with Riya Sen and her mother, Moon Moon Sen, who made her feel like family. Through Riya, she was introduced to John Abraham. “He’s very humble, down to earth and sweet. But he doesn’t talk to me anymore, nor does he respond to my messages,” she said, referring to John, while talking to Bollywood Thikana. She went on to share that she met John through Riya Sen, her co-star in the film. Riya and her mother, veteran actor Moon Moon Sen, became very close to Bobby at the time. She described Moon Moon as her “second home.” Reminiscing about their past, Bobby said, “There was a time when the three of us would go to Prithvi Theatre to have chicken dhansak, a Parsi dish. He liked it a lot. We also used to go to movies often. That time has passed. But what hurt me the most was when I texted him a year or two ago saying I wished to meet him, he didn’t even reply. How can someone be so rude? He could have at least acknowledged the text.” She continued, “You interact even with rickshaw pullers… but when an old friend, who once supported you, reaches out, you should at least send a reply. Even if it’s just, ‘I’m busy, we’ll meet some other time’, do send it.” Bobby also revealed that she is currently looking for work and going through a difficult phase. Known for her roles in films like Page 3, Chalte Chalte, and Kyaa Kool Hain Hum, she was most recently seen in the Bengali TV show Krishnakoli. Meanwhile, John Abraham, who was last seen in The Diplomat (2025), is now working on Tehran, alongside Manushi Chhillar and Neeru Bajwa.
