Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, is one of the most-awaited movies of 2026. Starring Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, the war drama is the sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 film, Border. It was recently reported that Ammy Virk was set to replace Diljit amid his Sardaar Ji 3 controversy. However, the actor soon shared his Border 2 look, thereby dismissing speculations. And now, a media report states that Diljit, Varun and Ahan shot a high-energy song for the film. Border 2 song shoot details According to a Mid-Day report, Sunny, Diljit, Varun and Ahan came together to film a song at the National Defence Academy in Pune. The track is reportedly composed by Anu Malik and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. "The shoot for the song began on Tuesday [July 1] and was wrapped up on Thursday [July 3]. This is the first time the four lead actors are shooting together in their respective uniforms," a source told the tabloid. The song will show Ahan, Varun, and Diljit as young cadets before they trained to become officers. Over 200 dancers dressed as cadets joined the stars. Sunny stayed back to complete action scenes." On June 17, Sunny Deol shared a photo with team Border 2 on his Instagram handle. The caption to his post read, "Diljit Dosanjh & Ahan Shetty join Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan as the battalion kicks off the 3rd schedule at Pune’s National Defence Academy! On-ground, they’re joined by Producers Bhushan Kumar & Nidhi Dutta, Director Anurag Singh, Co-producers Shiv Chanana and Binoy Gandhi, as the film moves full throttle!" More about Border 2 While Border was helmed by JP Dutta, the second installment is being directed by Anurag Singh. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
