Boston Rob Mariano's daughter is on the mend after a sticky — and prickly – situation. On Monday, June 16, the Survivor and Traitors star, 49, shared a photo on his Instagram Stories of a large green plant with several sharp leaves while on vacation in Mexico. "My #CarinaRose got poked by this plant yesterday on the golf course...long story short we ended up in the hospital last night," Mariano wrote. "She had a pretty severe reaction to the plant and was in a lot of pain! The doctors did an ultrasound to look for the spine, but instead found an abundance of fluid inside her knee near where the plant pricked her and prescribed some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories," the dad of four explained. "Thankfully, she's feeling much better today!" Mariano said, thanking his hotel in Los Cabos for their help. The reality TV star also shared a photo of his daughter, who was pictured using crutches and her left leg bandaged up. "She's actually feeling much better!!!" Mariano wrote. He later included another photo of the plant, writing, "We have identified the culprit El Datilillo, 'The Spanish Dagger.'" Alongside Carina, Mariano shares daughters Lucia, 15, Isabetta, 13, and Adelina, 10, with his wife Amber Mariano, whom he met while he was a contestant on Survivor. In May, Mariano shared a carousel of photos on Instagram as he honored his daughter Carina as she graduated from middle school. The proud dad got a little emotional as he rounded up the special night, sharing a sweet photo of his entire family as they supported Carina. "Last night my #CarinaRose Graduated. She received one of her schools top honor, The Leadership award! I was so overcome with emotion… I cried like a baby!!! I’m so proud!" Mariano wrote in his caption. "#CarinaRose you are so kind and smart and beautiful, and you will succeed in whatever you do. You are a wonderful daughter and a great sister. You are a Champion! I love you with all of my heart! 💖." Speaking with PEOPLE in April, Mariano said that his four girls don't love the attention he has been getting lately after starring on this past season of The Traitors. "My kids are hating it because all of a sudden their friends are like, 'Oh my God,' " he said. "They don't like the attention. It's a lot." "It's kind of weird for a teenage girl to be like, 'Dad, my friends think you're hot.' You know what I mean?" Mariano added.
