Bluewater Boxing promoter Samir Khan has confirmed that the official weigh-in will be tomorrow at Suva’s Terry Walk from 1pm. Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, he said that it is a chance for fans to come to the weigh-in and meet the boxers. “Our line-up has been finalised and the matches are all confirmed,” he said. “The tickets are really selling fast as a lot of boxing fans are calling from overseast to reserve their tickets.” Khan said some of the overseas boxing fans would be in the country to witness the promotion on Saturday. “I wish all the boxers the best and I urge fans to come in numbers to support local boxing,” he said. “Everything is okay so far as we have done the medical and drug tests for the boxers. “Boxers who are taking part have got their approval from the doctors to participate.” Khan said they’ll have a doctor present during fight night. “The doctors will be at the weigh-in on Friday to do the final check-ups for the boxers medical. Also we’ll have an ambulance on standby,” he said. “It’s a great line-up and great matches, which the fans don’t want to miss.” Khan said they have been monitoring the boxers since they’ve signed the contracts. “The feedback from the managers has been good from their end and they are ready for the fight on Saturday,” he added. The main bout sees Mikaele Ravalawa taking on Mohammed Ali for the vacant Fiji lightweight title. The main bouts see Fiji cruiserweight champion Alivereti Kauyaca facing Fiji light heavyweight champ Paulo Ratumaikoro.
