Brentford set-piece coach Keith Andrews has been interviewed for the head coach role at MK Dons.
First-team coach Ben Gladwin is currently standing in as MK Dons’ interim manager while they hire a new boss.
That process is moving forward swiftly, with four candidates having been interviewed this week.
Standard Sport understands that Andrews is one candidate who has been considered and received an interview, though it remains to be seen whether he emerges as the League Two side’s preferred option.
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Andrews was a key player for the Dons between 2006 and 2008, before rejoining the club on loan from Bolton for the second half of the 2014/15 season, after which he retired. He was then made first-team coach at Dons.
The 44-year-old was announced as the new set-piece coach at Brentford in July 2024, where he serves as the replacement for Bernardo Cueva.
Cueva was set-piece coach for the Bees between 2020 and last summer, when Chelsea paid a compensation fee to take him to Stamford Bridge.
Before joining Brentford, Andrews was assistant manager to Stephen Kenny for the Republic of Ireland between 2020 and 2023 and then a first-team coach with Sheffield United.
