@Source: thescottishsun.co.uk
SHE has been as honest as can be in her heart-wrenching music. Now Brit-nominated singer Cat Burns will have to prove she can lie, too, after signing up for the upcoming series of Celebrity Traitors. I can reveal she will appear on the eagerly-anticipated first star-studded series later this year, joining a raft of other big names. And it’s hoped that her stint on the BBC One show will be the perfect launch pad for her second album. A telly source said: “The Beeb have signed up loads of older showbiz stars but they haven’t got many youngsters and that’s where Cat comes in. "She will add some youth to the show and will be very familiar to the TikTok generation. “She is very intelligent and can be quiet sometimes but she won’t be afraid to speak her mind when the time is right. “Cat is the ultimate Traitors superfan too, and she has been lobbying for this gig as soon as she found out the BBC were doing a celebrity spin-off. Hard at work “Cat will definitely add a different dynamic to the show.” Big names including Stephen Fry, Kate Garraway and Alan Carr are expected to fly to Scotland to appear on the programme with her, along with singer Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley and former rugby player Joe Marler. This week, The Sun also revealed that comedian Joe Wilkinson and Ted Lasso villain Nick Mohammed have signed up. Cat, right, shot to fame through TikTok, with her single Go spending almost two years gaining prominence on the social media app before reaching No2 in 2022. She went on to score a Top Ten record when she dropped her debut album Early Twenties last summer. But she has been hard at work in the studio in recent weeks perfecting the follow-up, which is expected to come out later this year. Traitors is one of the best shows on the box, and I am beside myself with excitement to watch this lot later in the year. And with filming set to begin in the coming weeks, the countdown is on. BUSY DAISY'S SWIFT CHANGE IT’S a wonder Daisy Edgar-Jones had the chance to promote her new movie after changing into FOUR outfits in one day. The Normal People actress looked beautiful in a playsuit with blue jacket, a grey power suit, navy co-ords, and a maxi dress with a trench coat. She was in and out of her suitcase on Wednesday as she did interviews to talk about romantic drama On Swift Horses, in which she stars opposite Jacob Elordi. And she joked about how she has acted with other hunks, including Paul Mescal, Glen Powell and Sesbastian Stan. She told Elle: “I have worked with basically all of the internet’s boyfriends, and I’m lucky that every actor I’ve worked with has been incredibly supportive of me being the lead.” ROMAN QUEST AFTER a decade on Capital Radio, Roman Kemp is heading on a gap year, backpacking. And he has found a way to get paid for it by signing up for BBC show Celebrity Race Across The World. I can reveal the DJ will star on the next series with his sister, country singer Harley Moon. A source said: “Roman and Harley were approached to take part in the show and they jumped at the chance. “They have been filming it for the past few weeks and have had a ball. “Roman and Harley have a great relationship and their dynamic is hilarious so they’re bound to pick up some fans along the way. “It’s been lovely for Roman to work with his sister, and to take on a challenge like this has been something he’s wanted to do for a long time. “The BBC have really been championing Roman so signing him up was a no-brainer.” The former I’m A Celeb star, who quit his radio show last year, will see his series air later this year. The pair will battle against four other famous duos as they attempt to navigate thousands of miles on a shoestring budget and without the help of modern technology. But if you don’t want to wait until the end of the year to get your fix of the show, the civilian series starts on Wednesday. MINAH’S GRIPPING CHOC TRICK IF you don’t want your chocolate nicked this weekend, I’ve got just the thing. The Traitors star Minah Shannon knows a thing or two about keeping a secret and has teamed up with Maltesers and M&M’s to launch three Easter-themed decoy books, which you can hide your sweet treats inside. Named as twists on classic pieces of literature, Jane Hare, The Great Gatsbunny and A Tail of Two Warrens have secret compartments inside to stash your goodies. For a chance to win them for free, search “bunny books Raffall” online. JAMIE: MY ‘FIT’ ON RUN FOR COMIC RELIEF JAMIE LAING reckons he may have suffered some kind of seizure after the third day of his Comic Relief ultra marathon challenge last month. The reality TV star thinks that exhaustion triggered the strange episode, which left wife Sophie Habboo scared he was DYING. Reflecting on how he felt on day three, Jamie, with Sophie, inset, said: “I think I had some sort of weird fit moment. I don’t know what happened. “Sophie thought I was dying. I was, like, shivering. I was so cold. And I didn’t really know where I was. “Sophie said I was having a panic attack. I definitely wasn’t having a panic attack. “I think my body was depleted of energy.” Jamie raised over £2.2million for charity by running 150 miles from London to Salford over five days, but was open about his struggle to complete it. And he revealed Sophie’s support brought them even closer as a couple. On his Great Company podcast, he explained: “I thought I loved her the amount I could, but after my run . . .  She’s just the best thing in the world. “Sophie used to get annoyed at me or get angry about stuff, and the way I react is I’d get angry back at her. “But I would never do that any more. I’ve changed my whole being around her. It’s really weird.” MAY THE 4s BE WITH YOU SOON, AITCH MY favourite rapper Aitch is back this summer with his second album, 4. The follow-up to his 2022 Brit-award winning debut Close To Home, will be out on June 20. The Manchester-born star said: “This album represents, first and foremost, my postcode. My postcode is M40, and for years, since we were kids, when we used to take pictures, we always used to throw 4’s up.” In the meantime, there are loads of new tunes out today, including The Kooks’ Compass Will Fracture, Can’t Keep A Beat from British female trio Say Now, Jodie Harsh's summery anthem Kiss It Better and Lana Del Rey's Bluebird. Also worth checking out is You You You from Lukas Graham – the Danish band behind 2016 No1, 7 Years – as well as James Bay's You And Me Time with Sheryl Crow, from the deluxe version of his album Changes All The Time, which is out today. TWO decades after her breakthrough debut album The Way It Is, Keyshia Cole is coming to the UK for some shows – and bringing star rapper Lil’ Kim with her. The Lady Marmalade rapper will support Keyshia on shows at London’s O2 Arena on September 23, Manchester’s AO Arena on September 25 and Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on September 26. Tickets go on sale next Friday at 10am. ED SHEERAN is a man of many talents – but now he’s just showing off. The singer has revealed he will sing in Punjabi on a collaboration with Hindi singer Arijit Singh for his upcoming album, Play. Ed said: “In Western pop music, it can get stagnant and samey. In India, I found it was just their own wave, rather than trying to fit in things.” Ed, who named his comeback single Azizam, after the Persian word for “my dear”, wrote 320 songs for Arijit’s record, but whittled it down to 13 ahead of its planned release in September.
