Bruno Fernandes transfer latest as chances of Man United stay predicted
@Source: manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Bruno Fernandes' chances of staying at Manchester United have been predicted to be slim as bookmakers respond to a huge week of reports surrounding the club captain. Fernandes opened the speculation surrounding his future when he insisted that he would not stand in United's way if they decided to cash in on him. MEN Sport reported last week that the Portuguese international was seriously considering his future at the club after Al Hilal offered up a contract reported to be worth £700,000 per week. We understand that United are relaxed about the situation and are currently open to selling any player in their squad for the right price. Ruben Amorim has publicly insisted that he wants Fernandes to remain in Manchester. On Sunday evening, journalist Ben Jacobs reported that 'positive talks' had been held between Al Hilal and Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho leading to the Saudi club being 'confident' that the midfielder would choose to move. It is claimed that Fernandes has been given until Friday to make his final decision and is currently talking to his family to decide what is best. Currently, United have not received a bid from Al Hilal for Fernandes, but the Middle Eastern club are hopeful that negotiations will be smooth should the 30-year-old decide that he wants to leave. The Manchester Evening News understands that Al Hilal are willing to pay £100m for the talisman. Reflecting the reports surrounding Fernandes, William Hill have priced the United man at 2/5 to leave Old Trafford for any Saudi club this summer. Explaining what this means in real terms, spokesperson for the bookmakers Lee Phelps said: "All eyes are on the summer transfer window with some big names rumoured to be packing their bags, most notably Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes. "Fernandes is 2/5 to leave United and head to the Saudi Pro League this summer – an implied probability of over 71% - following another disappointing season for the Reds." Such a high probability of Fernandes leaving will be a concern for United fans who overwhelmingly want their captain to stay at the club. Despite United's tribulations this season, Fernandes still managed to notch up 19 goals and 20 assists.
