New Scarlets investor Kirsti Jane insists the Welsh club are here to stay despite the Welsh Rugby Union considering cutting the number of professional clubs. US-based company House of Luxury (HOL) have decided to invest into the Scarlets and are looking to acquire a 55 per cent stake in the long term. This is timely for the Welsh club, with the WRU set to begin a formal consultation next month where it is likely to suggest cutting the number of professional clubs to two. But HOL CEO Jane is adamant the Llanelli -based club are here to stay and will enjoy a prosperous future. "From our perspective of things we are winners and winning is what we do," she told WalesOnline. "That's the mindset we carry. That's our whole culture our company is built on and we don't see anything other than a future for the Scarlets. "For us that's our only focus. "Scarlets will continue to play top-flight rugby and they will continue to do all of those things. "We are confident that the Scarlets will continue to play rugby, continue to be the Scarlets and the fans will be able to enjoy for a long time to come." The company is a US global luxury asset agency that will take up current financial liabilities and responsibility for commercial growth and future strategic vision reporting directly to the Scarlets board, while working towards a full equity transaction. Jane hails from south Wales and is a hugely successful entrepreneur, while HOL has been recognised as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies by WPO and JP Morgan Chase in 2025. "I'm a deal-maker so I built House of Luxury from scratch myself," she tells WalesOnline. "I like making deals and making lots of money. That's the way I always position myself. I buy and sell for my clients. It's entirely off market so I get the privilege of handling assets the vast majority of people don't even know was available in the first place. "We are winners and we want to bring that mindset to the Scarlets. "Winning is what we do and we don't go into something looking to moderately compete." HOL are planning to invest in the squad and are hoping to turn the Scarlets into a force to be reckoned with in the long run. One player who is on the market is Wales star Louis Rees-Zammit , who has returned to rugby union after trying his hand at American football . "The simple answer is who wouldn't be interested in him?," she said when asked about Rees-Zammit. "Generally speaking, yes he ticks most of the boxes. "We believe we are building something that is not just going to be something different for the fans but also something for players. "Certainly Rees-Zammit would always be at the forefront of the mind when you are thinking about that. "We don't want to be imposing anything on the great coaches that are here and the staff that are planning and have their own plans in place. "They've done a great job and all they are looking to do is enhance that. "Ultimately rugby is part of what we do here and winning and competing is part of that. "Naturally we will look to bolster in those areas." Having taken on the Scarlets' liabilities, HOL have taken control of off-field operational management of the club immediately and are looking to make radical changes. Former WRU CEO David Moffett and Wales legend Dan Biggar are on the HOL board so will be offering advice on how to make the Scarlets successful. "We are making some radical changes but within those radical changes there's the day-to-day stuff," said HOL chief experience officer Simon Kozlowski. "We are going to generate new revenue streams and introduce new revenue streams. "Some of that will be upgrading digital sponsorship, bringing modern sponsorship alternatives into the mix to give a broader array of sponsors access to the sponsorship experience. "The other leg is brand and storytelling. The way we describe it in-house is that every business has a brand and they have a story but sometimes the story is living at volume two. "So, what we are going to do with that is plug it into an amplifier and really amplify what's already there. "We aren't putting a spin on things which aren't real we are just going to dial up the heritage of the brand, the story and the history but also bring it into the 21st century in a way that's relevant to audiences that are currently not interested in rugby. "They maybe second or third generation rugby lovers but are slightly detached but are disengaged from the current rugby experience." HOL are hoping their new way of working will enhance the performances of Dwayne Peel's side and are hugely passionate about developing Welsh talent. "But obviously this is a sports team so raising the team and the individuals within the team to a higher level of rugby," said Kozowski. "That's data and analytics, that's measurement, it's performance enhancement techniques that are cutting edge and are being used on the fringe in other parts of the world," he said. "That's very important to us but also the big problem in Welsh rugby is the talent pool and the depth of the talent pool. "So, we would obviously be investing heavily. "The Scarlets have already invested heavily in talent pipeline development but we would just super charge that and get behind what they've already done over the years." With fresh investment, bold ambition and a commitment to restoring the Scarlets to the top tier of European rugby, House of Luxury is promising not just survival — but resurgence.
