My kitchen used to have fruit flies. Annoying, but true. It’s a common summer problem, especially where I live in Los Angeles.
The tiny bugs are small enough to sneak through window screens and sliding doors when you’re trying to let in some fresh air. They can even make their way up through sink drains, which is honestly kind of gross.
After trying a bunch of things that didn’t work, I finally found a tool that actually made my apartment fruit fly-free. And no, it’s not sticky hanging tape or a sugar water trap. It’s way better and it actually works.
It’s the Zevo flying insect trap, and it basically just looks like a night light.
This bug catcher uses blue and UV light to attract house flies, fruit flies, and gnats. The adhesive backing catches the bugs discreetly, and it faces the wall so you don’t have to see anything um... unpleasant.
When it’s full, you just lift out the cartridge and toss it in the trash. Plus, it's only $20 on Amazon right now!
