A rugby team from North Wales secured an historic cup victory at the Principality Stadium. Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon won the Division 1 Welsh Rugby Union Cup against Bridgend on Saturday.
This is the first time that a team from the north has won the cup. It was a tight game with a final score of 30-29.
More than 700 fans travelled down from Caernarfon for the game and were sent into raptures at the final whistle.
"This is one of the best weekends I've ever had," Carwyn Roberts told BBC Radio Cymru.
"It was brilliant, two great teams, very good. We didn't start well and in the second half Bridgend scored two quick tries and we were worried this was going to be our day.
"Thankfully we got back into it with a penalty from Aled Jones and then the try at the end."
According to Carwyn the support of the cofis who came to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff was a huge boost. "They had sold around 700 tickets but when you were on the pitch it felt like the stadium was full. They sang Calon Lân in the first half and I almost had to stop and turn around and just watch them. That was brilliant and then the shouting - all the Cofis shouting at the end!"
Full-back Aled Jones was one of the heroes for the north Walians, adding the winning conversion to outside centre Tom Devine's try five minutes from time. Devine also scored in the first half with wing Iwan Roberts the other Caernarfon try scorer. Jones converted all three tries as well as sending over three penalties in what was a faultless afternoon from the tee.
The lead changed hands several times and Bridgend led 29-20 when player coach Rhys Williams converted Sullivan's try on 54 minutes.
After snatching the lead back, Caernarfon held on and when Williams' drop goal attempt with the last kick missed, their 700-strong Cofis support went wild.
