Caitlin Clark said goodbye to her golf bag for the time being to begin the 2025 WNBA season, where she hopes to lead the Indiana Fever back to the postseason. But as any golfer knows, the obsession with the sport doesn't stop just because you have to go back to work.So it comes as no surprise that Clark was so effusive in welcoming Bubba Watson to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday. After all, it's not every day that a golf enthusiast gets the chance to interact with a two-time Masters champion.Watson visited the home of the Indiana Fever to attend a game against the Atlanta Dream and took the opportunity to meet Clark. The moment was filmed and posted by the team on their social media platforms.During the meeting, Watson revealed to Clark that his wife, Angie, played professional basketball and was a member of the Charlotte Sting for four seasons. The Sting were one of the original eight WNBA franchises, but folded in 2007.Watson also took the opportunity to present Clark with one of his autographed drivers. The driver was obviously a ceremonial gesture, being for a left-handed player (Clark swings right), but the WNBA star still received it with as much excitement as expected.Again, not everyone can boast of having the driver of a two-time Masters champion in their home."Dream come true, not for her, but for me," Watson said, summing up the moment. The Indiana Fever lost the game 91-90 with Caitlin Clark scoring 27 points and dishing out 11 assists. It was a heartbreaker of a game, with head coach Stephanie White sparking controversy by not giving Clark the opportunity for attempting the game-winning shot with 9.1 seconds left.Caitlin Clark has been an avowed golf fan since childhood. Growing up, she played golf as well as basketball and other sports. When she later decided to play basketball full time, she never stopped swinging her clubs at the first opportunity. Her love for golf has never left her. In fact, at the end of her first season in the WNBA, she joked in an interview that she would dedicate her off-season to becoming a "professional golfer."Clark has played in the PGA Tour's RSM Classic Pro-Am event twice. She was also the main guest at the 2024 ANNIKA Pro-Am, where she had the opportunity to play nine holes with the legendary Annika Sorenstam and another nine with World No. 1 Nelly Korda.More Golf: Sergio Garcia Heartbreakingly Fails to Qualify for U.S. Open
