Cameron Norrie handed brutal reminder by Tim Henman ahead of Carlos Alcaraz match

Tim Henman says Cam Norrie is a 100-1 shot against Carlos Alcaraz today - even suggesting the Spanish sensation would beat the world No.61 on the golf course! BBC analyst Henman was the last Brit to topple a reigning Wimbledon champion at SW19 when he ousted Richard Krajicek 28 years ago. Now Norrie looks to provide a repeat - but faces a mountainous task. Norrie faces the French Open champion, who is riding an 18-match winning streak and chasing his third consecutive title at the All England Club. And Henman isn't giving the home favourite much hope. Henman said: "I just think it's a difficult match up. How does he beat him? In normal circumstances you would say try and shorten the points, but that isn't the Norrie style. "Does he want to extend the points? Against Alcaraz that is difficult. He's got to serve very well. “He's got to extend the rallies at times. He's got to take risks from the back of the court. He's got to keep flattening out that backhand, which is effective on grass. And he's probably got to hope that Alcaraz has a bad day. I think that's the reality. “Anyone's beatable. If they played 100 times, can Norrie win one? Maybe. It's unlikely. But it's sport. There are no scripts. "And I know Cam well, he's a great competitor. He gets absolutely everything out of his game. He's got to believe he can do it. But if they played 100 times, he probably can win once. So let's hope it's tomorrow.” Alcaraz, meanwhile, has been unwinding between Wimbledon rounds with a spot of golf, even taking on Andy Murray . The Spaniard plays off an 11 handicap while Norrie hits off 13. "His golf is pretty good, [but] I think I'd back Alcaraz on the golf courses as well," opined golf enthusiast Henman. "I'm normally an optimist. I'm normally pretty positive but he's up against it."
