India are set to face England for a five-game Test series, with the 25-year-old named the new skipper of the red-ball side.India’s A team reached England a few days ago and played an unofficial Test, where Karun Nair, India’s latest Test returnee, scored a magnificent double ton. Meanwhile, the England vs India series in England was named the Pataudi Trophy in 2007, in memory of former India great Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.However, the England series has now been changed to the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy, in honor of the two cricketing greats. While Sachin Tendulkar remains the highest scorer for India in Tests with 15,921 runs from 200 Tests, James Anderson ended his red-ball career as England's leading wicket-taker, having picked 704 scalps in 188 games.While Anderson retired from the format only last year, in 2024, Tendulkar called time on his career in 2013.
