Carry On Jatta Actor Jaswinder Bhalla Dies At 65 After Brain Stroke, Last Rites On August 23 In Mohali

Popular Punjabi actor Jaswinder Bhalla died at the age of 65 this morning. According to reports, he was unwell in his final days. Owing to health concerns, the veteran actor was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. He was an integral part of the Punjabi film industry and his colleagues are sending condolences to the bereaved family. Jaswinder Bhalla funeral As per reports, Bhalla’s last rites will be held on August 23 at noon at the Balongi cremation ground in Mohali. His colleagues, friends and fans are expected to join the family in saying the final goodbye. According to BBC Punjabi, Jaswinder Bhalla suffered a brain stroke on Wednesday evening and breathed his last at 4:00 AM this morning. As per doctors, the actor had lost a lot of blood. The news was confirmed to the portal by Bhalla’s close friend and Chhankata actor Balmukund Sharma. He did stage shows in the late 1980s and 1990s before moving to movies. His popular films were Carry On Jatta (2012) and Carry On Jatta 2 (2018). He played the character, Advocate Dhillon and became a household name. The actor also starred in the Jatt & Juliet series, Mr & Mrs 420 (2014), Yaar Anmulle (2011) and Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin (2014). Bhalla gained popularity for his Chhankata comedy series during the 1990s. He was also an important part of films like Gaddi Chaldi Hai Chhalla Maarke, Jind Jaan, and Band Baaje. Bhalla is survived by his wife, Parmdeep Bhalla; son, Pukhraj Bhalla; and daughter, Ashpreet Kaur, who is married in Norway.
