A police spokesperson said: "Police are currently in attendance after a body was found on the beach in Castlerock today, Friday 20th June. "Cordons are in place and the public is asked to avoid the area at this time." The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance were also in attendance at the incident which is reported to relate to a man getting into difficulty in the water.
