Chandrababu Naidu, sharing stage with PM, urges Yoga's inclusion in Olympics

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's contribution to not only reviving the popularity of yoga in India but across the world, turning it into a global wellness movement. Chief Minister Naidu further advocated for yoga’s inclusion in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Olympics.Sharing the stage with PM Modi on the 11th International Yoga Day in Vishakapatnam, Naidu said, "I am thanking our visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making Yoga popular not only in India (but also) across the world. He started International Yoga Day through the United Nations and made Yoga a global wellness movement."Speaking at the event, shortly after felicitating PM Modi, Naidu noted that Yoga Day is now celebrated in over 175 countries, across 12 lakh locations, with the participation of more than 10 crore people. Crediting PM Modi's leadership in popularising Yoga and its message to the world, Naidu thanked him for giving Andhra Pradesh the honour of hosting the event, which saw the participation of over 3 lakh citizens.Announcing plans to integrate yoga into education and community programs in the state, Chief Minister Naidu asserted, "When our youth embrace yoga, they gain not just health but the focus on succeeding in today’s digital world."Linking yoga to long-term development, Chief Minister Naidu emphasised that the core goal of Swarna Andhra @ 2047 is a "healthy, wealthy, and happy Andhra Pradesh.""You have made your power known to the world.
