Ahead of the 2025 FireKeepers Casino 400 race, Chase Briscoe made headlines by clinching the pole position at the Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, June 7. On top of that, the No. 19 driver for Joe Gibbs Racing made a historic record by smashing the top qualifying speed with his Toyota in the Next-Gen era.Briscoe grabbed the third consecutive Busch Light Pole award and the fourth of this season. In his maiden season with the Joe Gibbs outfit, the 30-year-old made the best qualifying attempt in the season-opening race, the Daytona 500. He then drove the field to the green flag at Charlotte Motor Speedway, followed by last weekend's race at Nashville Superspeedway. The two-time Cup race winner had a lap speed of 195.514 mph at the two-mile oval and turned a lap time of 36.826 seconds. He broke his current teammate, Christopher Bell's, qualifying record registered in 2023 at the very same track. After grabbing a pole position in Michigan, Chase Briscoe shared his honest thoughts about back-to-back top gird places in NASCAR's premier division. During post-qualifying interview, he said:"It'll definitely be nice starting up front. We've been able to do that now three weeks in a row, and haven't really been able to execute with it. So, hopefully, third time is a charm and hopefully we can finally get one on Sunday."As Chase Briscoe aims to drive his No. 19 Toyota machine for this season's maiden victory lane celebration, Kyle Busch will join him on the front row and will attempt to break his winless streak of 71 races.Chase Briscoe leads the 2025 FireKeepers Casino 400 grid at MichiganHere's the complete starting lineup for the NASCAR Cup Series season's 15th race at Michigan International Speedway:Chase Briscoe, No. 19Kyle Busch, No. 8Denny Hamlin, No. 11William Byron, No. 24Kyle Larson, No. 5Chris Buescher, No. 17Josh Berry, No. 21Ty Gibbs, No. 54Bubba Wallace, No. 23Zane Smith, No. 38Austin Cindric, No. 2Tyler Reddick, No. 45Ryan Blaney, No. 12Carson Hocevar, No. 77Joey Logano, No. 22Alex Bowman, No. 48Chase Elliott, No. 9Ty Dillon, No. 10AJ Allmendinger, No. 16Ross Chastain, No. 1John Hunter Nemechek, No. 42Erik Jones, No. 43Ryan Preece, No. 60Cole Custer, No. 41Christopher Bell, No. 20Shane van Gisbergen, No. 88Brad Keselowski, No. 6Austin Dillon, No. 3Noah Gragson, No. 4Ricky Stenhouse Jr., No. 47Justin Haley, No. 7Michael McDowell, No. 71Todd Gilliland, No. 34Riley Herbst, No. 35Daniel Suarez, No. 99Cody Ware, No. 51Fans can tune in for the live action on Amazon Prime on Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
